Coaching

I have always been coaching without knowing it. It just comes naturally to me. I believe it is an attitude; it means to support others in achieving their goals by providing thoughtful questions, tools or vehicles to figure out what they want or how they can improve, and helping them to hold themselves accountable for their decisions. I manage a coaching process that is thought-provoking and creative and inspires individuals to maximize their personal and professional potential.  I work with individuals as a business or life coach.

Process
The general process starts with two key elements that set us on a path for success. First there is some exploration, a complimentary session where we talk, get to know each other, clarify questions, and figure out if we want to work with each other. If we both decide we want to continue, the client fills out a welcome package that includes the coaching contract, basic data and some reflective questions about the goals of their coaching needs. Once that is done we can get started.

Time frame
Changes take some time so I suggest that the coaching process is based on three months to start with, but since every individual is different it is negotiable. Quick changes are always possible! The usual frequency of sessions is every other week.

Method
Coaches work with questions and tools to provoke new ways of thinking. There is no fixed structure, but rather the structure builds itself along the way depending on the needs of the client. When I exercise this agility in the coaching process, it means that there is no formula or template which allows for flexibility in the needs of each individual client who is unique in their own way.

Ethical standard

I work under the standards of the International Coach Federation (ICF).

What is Coaching

The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as follows:

Coaching means partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Coaching honors the client as the expert in his/her life and work and believes that every client is creative, resourceful, and whole.
Standing on this foundation, the coach's responsibility is to:

Discover, clarify, and align with what the clients wants to achieve

Encourage client self-discovery;

Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies; and

Hold the client responsible and accountable.

Professional coaches provide an ongoing partnership designed to help clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. Coaches help people improve their performances and enhance the quality of their lives.

Coaches are trained to listen, to observe and to customize their approach to individual client needs. They seek to elicit solutions and strategies from the client; they believe the client is naturally creative and resourceful. The coach's job is to provide support to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that the client already has.
